Usher Hall 2015 Midlothian Schools

Midlothian Schools’ festival of Music concert was a great success at the Usher Hall, Edinburgh.

The concert, which was organised by Midlothian Council’s Instrumental Music Service working in collaboration with schools, was a virtual sell out on Wednesday 11 November.

Some of the county’s finest young musicians took part in this annual musical extravaganza.

This year, the concert featured around 300 young Midlothian musicians including Midlothian School’s guitar ensemble, rock ensemble, Big Band and solo piper, Saul Sweeney from St David’s High School.

The compere for this year’s concert was the comedian and after dinner speaker Eric Davidson.

The funds raised by ticket sales will be reinvested in Instrumental Music in Midlothian.
