When night time noise becomes a nuisance

Friday October 2nd 2015

Midlothian Council is currently carrying out a review of the night time noise complaints service operated by its environmental health team.

The service responds to and investigates complaints about noise nuisance coming from domestic premises which is having an impact on other residents in their own homes. It has been operating at weekends for a number of years, on a Friday and Saturday night from 7pm to 3am. During these times, callers are able to contact the team using the Police Scotland non-emergency number,101.

To help improve the service, the council is looking for your views.  A short questionnaire can be found at HERE and only takes a few minutes to complete. The survey is open until Sunday October 25 and the information provided will be treated in strict confidence.
