Women’s Matters: Representation, support and equality in Midlothian

Wednesday May 9th 2018

Womens Matters Danielle Rowley MP

An event designed to bring women and girls together is coming to Midlothian on 19/05/18. Women’s Matters aims to discuss the barriers faced by women and will explore the ways in which these barriers can be broken down.

The event will be held at Edinburgh College, Midlothian Campus, and will run between 10am – 4pm.

Women’s Matters will be hosted by Danielle Rowley MP who is passionate about the empowerment of women across the region.

Attendees will be given the opportunity to engage with experts in pensions (WASPI), parenting, motherhood, issues faced by young women, campaign skills, and education. These themes are designed to invite conversation, allowing everybody involved to become more aware of the ways in which women can be better supported and represented within Midlothian and the UK.

Free childcare will be provided via a creche, overseen by a childcare professional.

Special guest speakers, experts, and inspiring stories will allow for a stimulating day of discussion, workshops, and interaction.
