A Loanhead all-trades contractor is having a double celebration, receiving both the top accolade at the Scottish Home Improvement Awards and with the opening of a new shop.

Dynamic Property Services was crowned ‘Scotland’s Best All Trades Firm’ at the glitzy award ceremony at Glasgow’s Crowne Plaza Hotel. The company, which carries out domestic and commercial building work as well as project management and design, was set up four years’ ago by local tradesman Ross Barr.

He said:

“I am absolutely delighted. The Scottish Home Improvement Awards is the biggest industry trade event and I am really proud that Dynamic was chosen out of the hundreds of other trades companies across the country.

“This award is testament to our amazing team of professionals who work hard, day in and day out.

“I’d like to say a massive thanks to everyone who voted for us too! We have previously won Best Joinery Firm, but winning Best All Trades is the icing on the cake.”

The firm has seen major levels of growth over the past year and has recently launched a one-stop shop in Clerk Street, Loanhead. Ross is hoping that the new shop will bring the business closer to its customer base.

He said:

“I wanted to find premises where clients could come in, sit down with a coffee and talk about what work they would like done to their home or business. We can talk state-of-the-art kitchens, impressive home extensions or complete building refurbishments. The team is there to offer advice about what trades are required, budgets, timeframes and to help people to visualise their dream!

“Finding a joiner, plumber, electrician, builder and plasterer can be time consuming, which is why we are offering all of these services in one easy-to-find town centre location.”

Dynamic Property Services’ new shop is now open at 92 Clerk Street, Loanhead, Midlothian, EH20 9RB. Or visit their website at
