Bonnyrigg Post Office opened yesterday at its new permanent location at Premier Store, 8-10 Dundas Street, Bonnyrigg, EH19 3AS.
This replaces a temporary mobile service that had been operating from Settlement Project, 76 High Street, Bonnyrigg EH19 2AE, following the resignation of the operator of the Partner service and the withdrawal of the premises for Post Office use in 2018.
The new permanent solution is open Monday to Sunday: 7am – 10pm, providing 105 hours of Post Office service a week for the convenience of customers.
Scott Hamilton, Post Office Network Provision Lead, said:
“We are delighted to have restored a permanent Post Office in Bonnyrigg. We want to thank the Settlement Project, Community Hub for providing temporary space for a Post Office until a permanent solution was found.”
