Midlothian Council wants to hear your views on their proposals to help address the council’s budget shortfall in 2018/19 of £13.5 million, potentially rising to £45 million by 2021/22.

You can book onto one of five engagement meetings hosted by Midlothian Council Leader Cllr Derek Milligan using the link below. They are being held in Midlothian Council’s chambers, Buccleuch Street, Dalkeith, EH22 1DN, between 7pm and 8pm.

– Monday 13 November

– Tuesday 14 November

Summary of Savings Proposals

Paper copies of the savings summary will also be available in local libraries by Friday 20 October.

After a short presentation by Councillor Milligan, you can ask questions and give feedback. Your views will help shape final decisions about addressing the budget challenges before the council sets a balanced budget for 2018/19 early in the New Year.

The council will be noting views and comments during the meeting for a final report to council.

You can book up to two tickets for the meeting. Total numbers for each meeting are limited to 60 people.
