Hibs recorded their second consecutive Scottish Premiership victory with a 2–0 win over Dundee at Easter Road, scoring once in each half to secure the three points.

The hosts dominated the early stages and could have taken the lead sooner, with Kieron Bowie passing up two close-range opportunities. He first scuffed a finish from inside the six -yard box, then headed over a shot from a similar position.

Bowie eventually found the breakthrough in the 30th minute. A lovely long diagonal ball from Dan Barlaser found Nicky Cadden on the left, who played in Bowie, who turned sharply and fired into the net to end a nine-game goal drought in style.

Hibs continued to dictate play for the remainder of the first half and tested Dundee’s defence repeatedly. Jamie McGrath, Barlaser and Josh Mulligan all forced saves from Jon McCracken, while Martin Boyle struck the side-netting after another sharp move by the hosts.

Dundee struggled to establish any real rhythm and managed only two touches in the Hibs penalty area before the break, with Simon Murray seeing a shot blocked from a corner.

The home side maintained their control after the restart. McGrath struck the crossbar with a powerful effort before doubling Hibs’ lead soon after. Set up by Bowie on the edge of the area, he sent a low shot inside McCracken’s near post, leaving the goalkeeper stranded as the ball slid home.

It was a day that showcased Hibs’ composure, teamwork, and individual quality. Four wins in their last six keeps them firmly in third, while Dundee continue to struggle, suffering their fourth straight defeat since their glorious win over Celtic.
