Evening candlelit visits, seasonal storytelling and festive music are all on offer this Christmas at Rosslyn Chapel, with tickets now on sale for these events.
Visitors can enjoy the magical atmosphere of an evening Christmas visit to Rosslyn Chapel by Candlelight, finding out about this amazing building from one of the Chapel’s Guides and then exploring for themselves. The visitor centre and shop will also be open for some Christmas shopping opportunities and there will be a free guidebook for each visiting household. Numbers will be restricted to just 30 people and the visits will be held on various dates in December.
For younger visitors, storyteller Dougie Mackay will be evoking the ‘green man’ with a selection of wild tales to bring warmth to a midwinter’s afternoon, on Friday 2 December. Expect nature lore, wild creatures, talking trees, magic and mystery! The storytelling, with a winter craft activity available in the Visitor Centre afterwards, will last approximately 40 mins and is suitable for age 4+.
For those looking for some seasonal music, Rudsambee Company of Singers will perform a programme of a cappella music, old and new, from near and far, for the Festive season, on 17th December.
