Stop the War Coalition has announced an emergency ‘no more wars’ protest to take place today at 5:30pm on Edinburgh’s Foot of the Mound.
Edinburgh Stop the War Coalition’s Gaza Genocide Emergency Committee called the emergency protest to protest recent war developments that are circullating throughout the news.
Edinburgh Stop the War Coalition is affiliated with Stop the War Scotland and Stop the War UK and state that their organisation is centred around opposing the British Government’s involvement in military conflicts, campaigning around the UK.
Originally established in 2001 to campaign against the war in Afghanistan, the coalition alongside other organisations were part of the largest public demonstration in British history in 2003.
The Edinburgh Stop the War Coalition announced an emergency protest to take place today due to the recent war developments in Iran and Israel. The protest will begin at 5:30pm at the Mound accompanied by many other emergency protests across the UK, such as Bristol, Birmingham and Brighton.
