A public consultation is underway to help inform a new three-year Community Learning and Development Plan for Midlothian. The plan is being developed by Midlothian Council’s Communities, Lifelong Learning and Employability team, Midlothian Voluntary Action, Volunteer Midlothian, Public Health and other partners who deliver learning and development activities in the community.

“We’re urging people to complete a short survey to help the partners redesign the learning and support they offer to individuals and communities over the next 3 years,”

said Midlothian Council’s Cabinet Member for Education, Councillor Jim Muirhead.

“The information will be used to make sure the learning and support we offer meets people’s needs, whether it’s youth work, adult learning, family learning, employment support, volunteering or community capacity building.”

The consultation will be open throughout May and the new 3-year Community Learning and Development Plan will be published in September 2021.

You can find the survey, and a separate survey for young people, at www.midlothian.gov.uk/news under ‘Have your say on community learning and development plan’.
