Holywood actor, Matt Damon, was spotted in Midlothian at the weekend as he and his family rode Midlothian Council’s Alpine Coaster.

The Oscar-winning actor took a ride on the popular Alpine Coaster at Hillend on Saturday alongside his family, during his break in filming his latest film, The Odyssey.

The Odyssey is an up-coming film by director and filmmaker Christopher Nolan, starring popular actors, such as Zendaya, Tom Holland and Anne Hathaway, alongside Matt Damon.

Matt Damon visited Midlothian Snowsports Centre to ride the popular Alpine Coaster which has become a popular attraction in Midlothian since its opening on the 14th of September last year.

Posting to Facebook, the Midlothian Council said, “When you’ve starred in Jason Bourne and Ocean’s 11, high-speed thrills are just part of the job. But even Oscar-winner Matt Damon couldn’t resist the rush of our Alpine Coaster at Midlothian Snowsports Centre.”

“Matt and his family took on our top attraction today and let’s just say, they enjoyed action-movie-worthy fun from start to finish.”

Alongside his visit to the Alpine Coaster, Matt Damon was spotted in Edinburgh, enjoying local restaurants in the city.
