Jump Ship 0% alcohol beer brewery are offering a sneak peak into their craft beer production with a Sober October tour this Saturday (4 October). The Pathhead based beer company is Scotland’s first and only dedicated 0% brewery, focusing on flavour-forward alcohol free craft beer.

Hosting the Sober October tour, they are offering the public a unique insight into their brewery with tickets to the event close to being sold-out.

The award-winning Scottish alcohol free beer company began in 2019 by founder Sonja Mitchell. Beginning as a start-up off the want for a beer without a fuzzy head in the morning, Sonja grew Jump Ship brewery into what it is today, an award-winning Midlothian based innovative 0% beer brewery. After one of their beers, the yardam Lager, was awarded best no and low alcohol lager in the World Beer Awards in 2021, the company grew until they made their home in a modern brewery in Rosemains Steading, Pathhead.

With alcohol free beer on the rise, Jump Ship has seen this new popularity with their 2025 Sober October tour being close to a sell-out.

Offering a sneak peak into Jump Ship, the tour offers a tour oif the brewery alongside tasting and a first look into new up and coming products.

Sonja Mitchell, Jump Ship Brewery’s founder, explained:

“We’ve been on a huge journey since the last time we opened up the brewery for our Dry January tours — with new beers released, a host of awards won, and so much more to share with people in person.

“These Sober October tours are a unique chance to celebrate these wins with us, try some exclusive, unreleased beers, and dive into the world of brewing alcohol-free beer.”

Opening their brewery doors one Sunday a month for a taproom, the new Sober October tours are offering a more in depth insight, riding off the success of their ‘Dry January Tour’.

This Saturday’s tour begins at 1pm and lasts for around 1.5 hours. It consists of an exclusive tour of the brewery and how Jump Ship came to be, led by Sonja Mitchell and head brewer, Pete Sharp, followed by a sample of the brewery’s complete range of 0% beers.

Sonja Mitchell added:

“We’ve been blown away by the response — tickets have flown out and we’re already close to selling out. It’s really exciting to see such demand, with people even travelling from all over the UK just to find out how we brew alcohol-free beer.”

Alongside the tour this Saturday, more are available if demand is high. The tours are offered to small groups with some spaces being offered to prize winners from the local community.

If demand is high, additional tour sessions can be organised by contacting [email protected]
