Police Officers are appealing for information following a road crashing involving a female and a car in Dalkeith.

Around 12.30pm on Saturday, 7 January, 2023, an 83-year-old woman was crossing Eskbank Road, near Justinlees Roundabout, in Dalkeith, when she was involved in a collision with a Ford Kuga.

Emergency services attended and the 83-year-old woman was taken to hospital for fracture injuries.

The female driver of the car was uninjured but has been left badly shaken by the incident.

Enquiries are under way to establish the full circumstances of the incident.

Constable Stewart Logan said: “At the time of the incident, traffic was moving quite slowly and I am appealing to motorists who were in the area at the time to contact us with any information they may have. It’s important we have as much information as possible to enable us to establish exactly what has happened.”
