Councillor Kelly Parry at the election count yesterday.
Following the Local Government elections Kelly Parry has become the new SNP Group Leader.
At a meeting yesterday the Midlothian SNP group agreed that Councillor Kelly, who led the SNP national election campaign, would be Group Leader. Colin Cassidy who had been leader and led the party locally now becomes Deputy SNP Group Leader.
The SNP now move forward to form an administration to run the council with Councillor Parry as council leader.
