Following a successful community litter pick last year, Loanhead Gala Committee intend to arrange 3 Community Litter Picks this year. They will all be held on Sundays and are open to anyone who wishes to take part. The first of these will be in April, the second in early June and the third in late August / early September.

Dates and further arrangements will be announced soon through the Loanhead Gala facebook page.

In addition, Ross Perfect and Alan McLaren have arranged a small litter picking group for retired men. It is intended that the group will meet on a weekday morning, once a week, targeting a different area of the town for a litter pick each week. The group turned out for the first time on Thursday 7 March, litter picking The Loan, Muirfield Gardens, the Memorial Park around the main entrance on The Loan and the access road from The Loan to Park Crescent.

Any retired men who may be interested in joining the group should contact Ross or Alan or the Gala Committee through the Loanhead Gala Day facebook page.
