Following the principal Proclamation of The King in London on Saturday, local people are invited to a local ceremony on Sunday 11th September at 2pm outside the Corn Exchange in Dalkeith.
Midlothian Provost Debbi McCall will formally proclaim King Charles III as the new sovereign. Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Midlothian, Lieutenant Colonel Richard Callander will be among the dignitaries attending the event. Motorists will not be able to use the parking bays from 184 to 212 High Street Dalkeith from mid-day until 6pm on the day.
