Police Scotland Crime Beat Report for Midlothian

Midlothian Crime Beat for period between Monday 25th and Sunday 31st July 2022.

Dalkeith

On Friday 29th July 2022 officers were called to a disturbance in Allan Terrace, Dalkeith. On arrival three males were issued with fixed penalty notices in connection with a Breach of the Peace.

On Sunday 31st July 2022 officers issued a fixed penalty notice to a male urinating in Public in close proximity to Woodburn Road, Dalkeith.

On Sunday 31st July 2022 officers received a report of a disturbance in Buccleuch Street, Dalkeith. Officers attended where a male was arrested in connection with the incident and taken into police custody. A report was submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Newtongrange/Mayfield

Police are appealing for information with regards the whereabouts of a dog, taken from its home in Stone Place. It is reported that between 6.30pm and 7.50pm on Saturday 23rd July, the dog was stolen from an address in Stone Place, Mayfield by two males who are believed to have then entered a black jeep with the dog. The dog is described as a male Old English American Bulldog, Predominantly brown in colour with a white stripe between his eyes, and white markings to the left side of his muzzle, chest, four paws and front left leg. Anyone with any information should contact police on 101, quoting incident 3387 0f 23rd July 2022. Alternatively anyone wishing to report their information anonymously can contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Gorebridge

On Friday 29th July 2022 police received a report of a disturbance in Burnside Road, Gorebridge. On Police attending the persons involved had left. Police are following a positive line of enquiry.
