Dalkeith, Danderhall, Newtongrange and Penicuik Libraries are now open to the public for bookable limited browsing.

Libraries will be open for:

– Bookable 30 minute browsing slots – to book phone or email the branch
– All returns
– Computer usage – by pre-booking only
– Hearing aid batteries and dog waste bags
– NEC and Blue Badge enquiries and forms
– Reserve and Collect pick-ups

To make a Reserve and Collect enquiry please book via the web form or contact the branch library by phone or email.

Bookbug sessions have returned to Dalkeith and Penicuik Libraries. Booking is essential as spaces are limited. To book call:

– Penicuik Libray on 01968 664 050.

The Mobile Library has a new timetable and will continues to offer services to the wider community not being served by a branch library. Please see council website for a map showing mobile library routes and times.

Midlothian libraries no longer charge fines for items returned late. There are also no longer charges for taking out CDs or DVDs.
