Scottish darts player David ‘Razor’ Sharp 36 from Bonnyrigg, Midlothian has secured his PDC Tour Card, earning the right to compete as a professional over the next two years following an intense and emotionally draining week at Q-School.
After narrowly qualifying on legs won in the final standings, Sharpy described the achievement as ‘a long-awaited dream in his darts career’.
“It’s a dream come true to finally secure my Tour Card. It’s something I’ve been working towards for so long,” he said.
“I first attended Q-School back in 2013 and didn’t return again until a few years ago. Third time lucky.”
Sharp has never stepped away from the game and is a well-known face across the Edinburgh, Midlothian and East Lothian darts circuit, also featuring in the Modus Super Series in 2025.
While the scale of the achievement is still sinking in, Sharp is already focused on the work ahead.
He explained: It doesn’t feel any different just yet, but I’m sure the realisation will kick in soon.
“For now, I’ll take a day to relax before getting back on the dartboard, putting in extra practice, and trying to better myself as much as possible. I’m really looking forward to enjoying the next two years as a professional darts player.”
The final day of Q-School proved decisive, with qualification ultimately coming down to fine margins in the Order of Merit.
“It was a very tough and draining week. I managed to scrape a card in the end on legs won, which was pretty crazy,” Sharp admitted.
“I didn’t realise how important the Coulson vs Samuel Price result was until a bit later in the day. When it all became clear, it was an unbelievable feeling.”
Sharpie was keen to acknowledge the support network behind his success, paying tribute to his sponsors and supporters who have backed him throughout his journey.
“I want to thank my sponsors for always believing in me and having my back on this journey to achieving my PDC Tour Card.”
Sharp receives sponsorship from Ship Inn Dalkeith, Nick Johnston Builders and Martin Harvie Window Cleaning.
He also expressed heartfelt thanks to those closest to him.
“A huge thank you as well to all my family and friends for the constant support and the messages of congratulations. It really means the world to me knowing how much support I have.”
With his Tour Card secured, Sharpie now turns his attention to life on the professional circuit, aiming to continue improving and make his mark on the PDC Tour, at a time when the standard of the game is being pushed higher than ever by the likes of Luke Littler, Gary Anderson, Michael Van Gerwen and Luke Humphries.
