Midlothian Raiders after their win against the Haddington Brewers
Written by Midlothian View Reporter, Liam Eunson
The Midlothian Raiders boosted their playoff ambitions with a convincing 61–38 home victory over Haddington Brewers at Dalkeith Campus on 15th February.
The Raiders controlled the game from the outset, combining disciplined defence with efficient scoring to secure another important league win in front of their home support. The result keeps the Raiders firmly in contention as the race for the end-of-season playoffs intensifies.
Elsewhere in Division 4, league leaders West Lothian Wolves B suffered their first defeat of the season, falling 46–43 to Edinburgh Titans B on 20th February. The result tightens the standings and opens up the race at the top of the table.
The Raiders will take added confidence from the fact they have already defeated the Titans earlier this season — a result that could prove significant as the playoff picture develops.
With momentum building at a crucial stage of the campaign, the Raiders now turn their focus to their next fixture against the Edinburgh Vipers on 6th March at Oriam (20:15 tip-off).
Every game now carries added weight as the inaugural season heads toward its conclusion — and the Raiders remain right in the fight.
