Midlothian View has been shortlisted for the Community Impact award at the Mid & East Lothian Chamber Business Awards 2018.
Overall 30 companies have been shortlisted across 9 categories. The nominees showcase business in East Lothian & Midlothian, reflecting the breadth and depth of business successes in the regions.
The awards, organised by the Mid & East Lothian Chamber of Commerce, are the biggest in the regions and are now in their 12th year.
The ceremony will take place on Thursday 25th October at the Brunton, Musselburgh.
Keith Barbour, Joint Chief Executive at the Mid & East Lothian Chamber of Commerce, explained:
“This year we received an exceptionally high volume of entries for all 9 of our categories, and to a very high standard, which made the final selection process quite challenging for our judges.
“We have an incredibly diverse range of businesses in Midlothian & East Lothian and it was important for us to open up more categories to businesses which otherwise may have not entered.
“It’s also great to see many returning businesses, and many new organisations names in the running. Special thanks go to all of our award sponsors who continue to help make this annual celebration such a success.”
Commenting Phil Bowen, Midlothian View editor, said:
“I am absolutely delighted that Midlothian View has been shortlisted for this prestigious award.
“Midlothian View is all about the Midlothian Community and bringing news, views and information to the people of and visitors to Midlothian. So to have this recognised by the chamber is fantastic.
“The awards night will be a great night. Of course we hope to win but we wish everyone shortlisted the best of luck.”
