Young One Dalkeith litter-pickers at last year’s event in Dalkeith

Last year local community group One Dalkeith had a very successful litter pick in Dalkeith. Now we are looking for volunteers to join in their next litter picking event in Eskbank.
It’s a great opportunity to join in with your kids aged 6 to 16, and of course, adults of all ages are very welcome!
The volunteers with be given the ‘litter hunt’ route maps and equipped with bags, bag hoops, pickers, high viz vests and gloves. There’ll be a wee ‘after party’ with snacks, biscuits, tea and coffee sponsored by Tesco Hardengreen.
The event’s meet-up point is at Eskbank Trading on Sunday the 7th, at 10:00am.
This event is part of the Great British Spring Clean 2019 national campaign which is to inspire people to eliminate litter now and for future generation. Please find more about the campaign at
