The Equality and Scottish Trans Pride in Our Community event is this Saturday, beggining from 11am at Holyrood Park. The event is followed by joining the Pride March at 12:30pm from the Scottish Parliament, with the event finishing at 12:45pm.
The Pride in Our Community event, organised by LGBTI Equailty and Human Rights in Scotland alongside Scottish Trans will take place in Holyrood Park. Consisting of a chill-out zone, pride crafts, guest speakers and many more pride activities, it provides a space for the pride community to come together. Guest speakers include Living Rent, Trans Kids Deserve Better, Exhale Glasgow, Unison and more.
The event is not affiliated with Edinburgh Pride but is a short distance from the Pride March’s starting place.
The Edinburgh Pride March will begin at 12:30pm from the Scottish Parliament. Pride Edinburgh, alongside the march, are hosting a community event at McEwan Hall and additional space in the Petterrow Dome, collaborating with EUSA and The University of Edinburgh.
Pride Edinburgh’s 28th Pride is the 4th event to be produced as a Charity registered in Scotland, providing the same pride activities and community events as previous years. Despite this, due to the current renovation of Teviot House the events will take place across their partner EUSA Potterrow complex and McEwan Hall.
