The annual Community Fun Day in Roslin Village went off without a hitch, held in the Park on its customary date of the first Saturday in September, despite the slightly damp start and persistent fog that hung around all day.
There was close to record numbers on the field (estimated at nearly 1000 people).
The variety of events offered had grown from the usual much anticipated races, dog show and musical entertainment but now included circus performers, art classes and crazy golf.
A great variety of over 40 stalls were on offer this year which included local businesses and offered a much needed fundraising opportunity for community groups too.
The newly formed Roslin Community Development Trust (RCDT) were at the Fete, collecting sign-ups for membership of the group which is seeking to support the needs of village residents and to act as a focal point for accessing funding and enhancing local assets.
As ever the Village is indebted to the organising Committee for bringing the Community together and for all their fundraising efforts. Midlothian Council also play a central part in making the event run smoothly.
A Just Giving Page remains open to build up reserves for the 2025 edition. of Roslin’s Grand Day Out..
