Esk Valley Rotary Club members working on Newtongrange Primary Schools playground

The Rotary Club of Esk Valley has announced a new community project to provide play equipment and vibrant murals for the playground at Newtongrange Primary School, which currently has no play structures for pupils to enjoy.
The initiative aims to transform the school’s outdoor space into a fun, creative, and inspiring environment for children. In collaboration with local artists, colourful murals will also be added to the playground walls to celebrate community spirit and creativity.
The school celebrates its 100th anniversary this year with several events planned to commemorate the milestone.
President of the Eskbank Valley Rotary Club, Iain Robertson, explained:
“This is a very important project that Esk Valley Rotary are happy to support. Our intention is to raise funds through various community events to make this vision a reality.”
The Rotary Club of Esk Valley has a long tradition of supporting local schools and community initiatives, and this project represents another step in their ongoing commitment to improving opportunities for young people in the area.
