Midlothian Football

Midlothian Football Development Team writes

Midlothian Council today announced its proposed budget cuts for 2019 and beyond with several local services to be extremely effected including Sports Development and Active Schools (including Football Development) being completely cut from the council provisions and services!

Ensuring a physically active, healthy and socially inclusive community are just a number of benefits sport has on our young people and communities. School sport will be drastically effected along with support and infrastructure for local clubs and our sporting community.

We need to fight to save our sporting landscape and show how much it means to our local people.

What does football mean to you? What does an active lifestyle do for you? The economic, health and social benefits of an active healthy community are massive!

The power of football can change lives!

A document proposing all cuts can be found here; Appendix 10 page 84.
