I really appreciate it when people take the time to give feedback on the articles we produce. It is heartening to hear that they are being enjoyed and are helping to keep everyone informed.
Midlothian View was established in 2014 and each year the number of readers has grown as the number of articles we produce each week has grown. We now have 20,000+ readers a month.
It takes time and effort to produce Midlothian View and currently our time is paid for by Pigeon Penguin – the Web & App Development Company – with some income from advertisers which we are always seeking to grow.
For a while we have had a mechanism to enable people to make donations to Midlothian View, and a big thank you to everyone who has done that. A number of people have said that they would like to make regular monthly donations, so we have now created a way for readers to become subscribers and pay their donation monthly. Sign up is quick, easy and very secure.
We will use any donations to build and improve on what we always aim to do – provide good quality local journalism. Over the next year we are looking to add new sections, such as a Classified section, and introduce an App which will enable businesses and readers to benefit from local offers.
