Temporary traffic lights will be in place on the A68 south of Pathhead from 8th August until 10th October, while improvements are made to 600 metres of footway between Lairds Entry and Pathhead South Gateway.

An alternative route for pedestrians will be signposted during the works.

Transport Scotland’s operating company BEAR Scotland will carry out the project.

Tommy Deans, BEAR Scotland’s South East Network Manager, said: “These footway improvements will enhance safety and ease of access for pedestrians using this section of the A68.

“We will do all we can to complete the project as quickly as possible and thank road users in advance for their patience.”
