Written by Midlothian View Editor, Phil Bowen

James Stagg was raised in Dalkeith and educated at the old Dalkeith High School in Croft Street and was awarded Dux of School in 1914-15 at the age of 15.

Pressure is based on the acclaimed play, the true story of the 72 hours leading up to D-Day. The largest amphibious assault ever has been assembled and any delays risk German intelligence catching on.

As Britain’s chief meteorological officer James Stagg must convince the entire Allied operations led by American General ‘Ike’ Eisenhower to trust his unconventional methods and alter their deployment plans.

The lives of millions and the fate of the war hangs in the balance of these few short days.
