Dalkeith Country Park has teamed up with Midlothian’s Criterium Cycles in offering a fantastic new bike hire facility at the park.
They will have a full range of bikes for the whole family, from lycra warriors to kiddie trailers, with everything from hard tail mountain bikes down to tag-alongs.
The newly upgraded park is a great destination for a family day out. The park has newly opened cycle tracks around the entire park and the whole family can enjoy a cycle away from traffic, in fact you get the feeling you are in the deep countryside.
Once you’ve finished your cycle you can hang up your helmets and enjoy tea and cake in the fantastic Restoration Yard cafe, and if they’ve still got energy to burn the kids can explore the most magical turreted treehouses, suspension bridges, slides, climbing walls and secret tunnels of the brand new Fort Douglas playground
Initially hire will only be available Thurs to Mon, whilst they see how it goes.
