Bonnyrigg Rose Legacy Award

At an awards ceremony at Tynecastle on Saturday, Bonnyrigg Rose Football Club received their Legacy Quality Mark Award by the Scottish Football Association.

Quality Mark is the Scottish FA’s accreditation programme designed to support and recognise the work of grassroots clubs and teams who have a desire to be the very best they can be.

Each level of the four Quality Mark award levels, Standard, Development, Community and Legacy, relate to a list of criteria on areas such as club structure, coach education and administration. Legacy is the highest level which means that Bonnyrigg Rose has met every requirement of the Quality Mark programme.

The club was successful along with Murieston United and Blackburn United Community Football Clubs and now join Broxburn, Spartans and Linlithgow Rose as the only clubs in the South East Region to have achieved the Legacy standard.

This is all the more remarkable given the Bonnyrigg Rose Football Sports Club has only been constituted since September 2013 and are the first to have by-passed the Community level in achieving the Legacy Award.
