Pathhead AFC, one of the oldest amateur football clubs in the Lothians, have secured a new sponsor which will hugely help the club in the forthcoming season.
Hamilton & Young, the well known jewellery designers of the Royal Mile, have become the clubs main sponsor.
Gordon Young, founder and owner of Hamilton & Young, was brought up in the village and is delighted to be able to assist the club. “Pathhead AFC is one of the oldest and most respected amateur football clubs in the area. I well remember watching them play when I was a boy, so we’re really pleased to be able to help them continue playing football.”
Terry Welsh, Secretary of the Club said “We’re delighted that Hamilton & Young have agreed to become the main sponsors of the Club. The costs involved in running an amateur football club have increased drastically in recent years, and many clubs have struggled to survive. This sponsorship package guarantees Pathhead AFC’s future, and means we can concentrate all our efforts on our footballing activities.”
