As the season comes to a close in a few weeks time the boys and girls across Midlothian and East Lothian who have been playing football Fun 4s this season as part of the ESSDA Saturday football fixtures are preparing to play Super 5s next year.
Super 5s enable the players to progress on from Fun 4s in order for them to contiunue to develop. The small sided nature of Super 5s still ensures that all players get lots of touches of the ball.
So for the remaining games of the season the matches will switch to the Super 5s format. The games consist of five players including a goalkeeper, played on a larger pitch and with a larger goal. Upto 2 rolling substitutes can be used by a team. Games are 15 minutes long.
