Snow Forecast

Wednesday January 13th 2016

An amber, be prepared warning is in place for snow in Midlothian.

The snow is expected above 200m in the afternoon, however this will gradually fall at lower levels in the evening, mainly above 150m.

The snow then looks like it will become heavier throughout the night and there could be some disruption to travel overnight and into tomorrow morning.

Midlothian Council gritters will be out from 16:00 and overnight to treat priority routes, such as those on main bus routes. From 05:00 HGVs, mini gritters, hand crews and tractors will be out again treating, for example, roads to schools, as required.
