The Filofax, Letts and Blueline (FLB) Group will relocate its current manufacturing facility based in Dalkeith, Midlothian over the next twelve months.

The plan is to move into a new, state-of-the-art facility within a fifteen-mile radius of its current location as a means of preserving jobs and the experienced skills of the workforce.

The current facility was first occupied in the 1960s and is expensive to maintain and not efficient from a manufacturing point of view.

FLB Chairman, Harolde Savoy said: “We don’t expect any negative impact on our production and service level, we simply want everyone to be aware of this decision to avoid speculation that this move was not planned and beyond our control.

“We have been discussing this change for over two years now and we are very happy that the decision has been made”.

Further information on the move will be announced in due course.
