All the details you could possibly need to know about the Summer Beer & Food Fest:
Come rain or shine; a date for the diary for all families, friends, youngsters and oldies alike. Whether beer lovers, foodies or those partial to a home-brewed cider, the Summer Beer & Food Fest (SBFF) is going to be the highlight of the season in Edinburgh and its surrounds.
It is the official Year of Food and Drink, so what better way to celebrate Scotland’s incredible produce and perhaps more importantly, have fun trying, tasting and taking part in all that it has to offer. So, let’s all raise a glass to Scotland’s natural larder!
SBFF wants to make everything very reasonable for you lucky people. Early bird tickets cost £7.50 (available until 11th May) and £10 from then on. All tickets include entry and two glasses of beer; the choice will be endless! Under 16s free. Think beer garden, marquees, live music, local street food, ice cream and an unimaginiable line-up of beers.
As we said, SBFF is a celebration. With that in mind, we have teamed up with numerous local food & drink producers and industry celebs to create a fabulous showcase of brews. Tom Kitchin, Edinburgh Gin and Lucas Ice Cream, among others, will be exhibiting a beer that they brewed on our Craft Beer Kitchen.
The current collaboration list includes:
As if that wasn’t enough, we are running two free tutored taster sessions called ‘Craft Beer Kitchin’.
See what we did there? I.J.Mellis will be providing a mini cheese starter to be paired with his beer collaboration, followed by an amazing nibble prepared by Tom Kitchin’s team for your main and a delicious dessert kindly provided by Lucas Ice Cream. They will talk you through the range of flavours and how they match and complement their beer.
First come, first serve! Sign up for free on the SBFF Eventbrite listing.
