The first phase of a programme of improvements to Rosslyn Chapel’s lighting is underway.

Fifteen bespoke chandeliers are being renewed and refurbished to improve the Chapel’s energy efficiency and help visitors appreciate more of the ornate stone carvings. The work includes new LED fittings and improved spotlights installed and is being undertaken by Stoane Lighting in Loanhead. The project has been made possible thanks to Scottish Government Local Authority Covid Economic Recovery funding (LACER) and awarded to Rosslyn Chapel Trust by Midlothian Council.

It is expected that this phase of improvement will be complete by the end of August.
