The accolade is seen as marking a significant milestone in its history and will help attract ‘tourist golfers’ from across the globe.

The course is renowned for its peaceful setting in the Ale Valley with breathtaking landscapes, impeccable design and now an unparalleled golfing experience.

In describing the course, a spokesperson for Golf World. the golfing bible, says: “A relatively new course (with on-site accommodation) that has very forward-thinking management.

“The parkland course is very playable and nicely maintained, with the 17th, its green surrounded by water, an absolute thrill coming home.”

Recognition in the Golf World Top 100 reaffirms The Woll’s commitment to excellence and innovation in golf course design, management and the family business’s continual efforts to exceed golfers expectations both on the course and in the very popular clubhouse and restaurant.

Director David Brown said: “We are thrilled and humbled to be recognized among Great Britain and Ireland’s top golf course venues.
